There are 36 models from Canon that may have a malfunction. This malfunction is caused by a vendor-supplied CCD image sensor used in some Canon digital camera and camcorder models. If your viewfinder or LCD screen is distorted or has no image at all during recording or playback, your gadget may be one of them.
The list shows that 17 digital camcorders and 19 digital cameras are affected. Below are the model of digital camcorders and digital cameras that are affected.

PowerShot A60, PowerShot A70, PowerShot A75, PowerShot A300, PowerShot A310, PowerShot A40, PowerShot A80, PowerShot A85, PowerShot A95, PowerShot S1 IS, PowerShot S60, Digital IXUS V3, Digital IXUS II, Digital IXUS IIs, Digital IXUS V2, Digital IXUS 330, Digital IXUS 400, Digital IXUS 430, Digital IXUS 500
If your digital camera or digital camcorder ever suffer from a malfunction caused by this, you can get it repaired free of charge, regardless of your warranty status. For those who have sent your gadget for a repair in the past, you can contact your nearest Canon Service Center to inform them.
